Project Description
Sackville Place Boutique Hotel Project
Client requirements
The project relates to the redevelopment of a 1970′s 4-storey office block in Dublin City Centre to create a new hotel with 150+ rooms, over a ground floor reception, bar and restaurant associated with the proposed hotel use and an adjacent separate retail/restaurant/cafe unit. The proposal extends the existing building vertically to six floors with a set-back penthouse level with the existing structural frame and floor slabs retained and re-used. An additional 3 storey lightweight steel structure is proposed, whilst also infilling an existing mezzanine above the ground floor.
Securing right outcomes
DCON Safety Consultants are acting as Project Supervisor for the Design Process for Tetrarch Capital. The project brings inherited challenges in terms of logistics, LUAS interface and adjacency to occupied structures. DCON Safety Consultants are working with the client and construction teams to arrive at sensible and achievable construction outputs.
