Client requirements

The development consists of the demolition of the existing 6 storey office building and the construction of a new 8 storey (including a mezzanine level between the double height ground floor and first floor and a setback seventh floor) 249 bedroom hotel development over single level basement. The north east elevation is set back from mezzanine level to the 7th floor. The proposal will accommodate an independent café/restaurant unit at ground floor and mezzanine level with a gross floor area of 157 sq. with the remainder of ground floor accommodating hotel lobby, bar/restaurant and ancillary service amenities. The total gross floor area of the building is 8,882.4 sq.m (including basement) with public realm enhancement works to Chancery Street and Greek Street.

Securing right outcomes

DCON Safety Consultants as Project Supervisor for the Design Process have to date managed the safe design outputs of the core design team and several specialist consultants in assisting to prepare and arrive at a successful planning application outcome.
